I am a Research Project Manager for the Ha Lab at Fred Hutch and a scientific leader with over 20 years of experience advancing molecular and oncology diagnostics and personalized therapeutics through next-generation sequencing platform integration, assay development, and cross-functional execution. I help lead assay development and wet lab operations, coordinate complex (epi)genomics and liquid biopsy studies, and partner with collaborators to advance our precision oncology research program. I support collaborative cancer genomics research by coordinating multidisciplinary projects, removing operational roadblocks, and developing transparent project and data management workflows that allow research teams to focus on discovery.

My scientific background spans both academia and biotechnology. I earned my Ph.D. in Microbiology from Cornell University, followed by postdoctoral research at Oregon State University studying microbial ecology, environmental genomics, and biogeochemical cycling using genomics, metagenomics, and molecular biology approaches. Before joining Fred Hutch, I spent seven years at Adaptive Biotechnologies, where I most recently served as Senior Manager in Research & Development. There, I led cross-functional teams developing next-generation sequencing assays for oncology diagnostics and personalized T-cell therapeutics, including integration of Illumina’s NovaSeq 6000 and NovaSeq X Plus platforms into regulated clinical workflows while partnering across research, computational biology, clinical, quality, and engineering teams.

I am passionate about building collaborative environments where clear communication, transparency, and thoughtful project management empower scientists to innovate and do their best work. I enjoy creating systems that improve data organization, streamline workflows, and strengthen collaborations across laboratories and clinical partners. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me exploring the outdoors. I enjoy cycling (road, gravel, and mountain biking), rock climbing, hiking, splitboarding, surfing, and scuba diving. I love exploratory travel and have visited more than 60 countries, especially enjoying discovering new cultures and landscapes by bicycle with my camera in hand.
